Symphony No 1 in B flat by English late-Baroque composer William Boyce is a lively orchestral work first published in 1760 as part of his Eight Symphonies, Op. 2.  The piece derives from the theatrical overture to the 1756 New Year’s Ode, “Hail, hail, auspicious day”. Arranged for 2 flutes, alto and bass flutes.
