Description
János Lavotta (1764-1820) was the most distinguished representative of the verbunkos period in Hungarian musical history and was both a composer and a legendary performer on the violin. The siege of Szigetvár or the Battle of Szigeth was an Ottoman siege of the fortress of Szigetvár in the Kingdom of Hungary. This Suite is arranged for 2 flutes, alto and bass flutes.
