Luis Antonio Calvo (28 August 1882 – 22 April 1945) was one of the most celebrated Colombian musicians and composers. Despite spending the vast majority of his life confined to a leper colony, he remained an incredibly prolific composer and an iconic national celebrity. ”Lejano Azul” Intermezzo No.2 is one of his most celebrated works. Originally written for piano in 1920 it is arranged for 2 flutes, alto and bass flutes.
