Description

Weidt: Ping Pong Galop. Albert John Weidt (1866-1945) was born in Buffalo, NY. In 1908 he was actively teaching and directing several fretted instrument clubs in Newark, NJ, and composed extensively for guitar, banjo and mandolin. His Ping Pong Galop (1913) reflected the craze for the game of table tennis that had crossed the Atlantic ocean from England and was sweeping across the USA. Originally thought to have been composed for banjos it has been arranged here for 3 equal clarinets. Intermediate level required.
