Composed by Theodore Moses-Tobani and based upon an original melody, “Wintermärchen” Waltzes Op. 366 (1891) by the Hungarian composer Alphons Czibulka. “Hearts and Flowers” has an association in popular culture as melodramatic silent film accompaniment from the early 20th century.
