Joplin: Volume 1. This volume contains Eugenia, Leola and the Rose Leaf Rag; three famous ragtime pieces written by the ”King of Ragtime”, Scott Joplin. Eugenia (1906) is one of his lesser known pieces and a much more expansive piece than most rags, with a few surprising extended sections. Leola (1905) is a slow march, two step and one of Joplin’s most beautiful and calming melodies. Rose Leaf Rag (1907) is another delightful slow march ragtime two step. These fun and enjoyable pieces are arranged for 3 equal clarinets of intermediate to advanced level.
