Description
Corelli: Concerto Grosso No. 2. Arcangelo Corelli’s Concerto Grosso No. 2 in F Major, Op. 6 is part of his famous Opus 6 collection; a set of 12 concerti grossi published posthumously in 1714. These pieces are among the earliest and most influential examples of the concerto grosso. This form contrasts a small group of soloists (the concertino) with a larger ensemble (the ripieno). This arrangement of the complete work is scored for 2 flutes and alto flute for the concertino with 2 flutes, alto and bass flutes as the ripieno. Intermediate and advanced level players are needed.
